Our perceptions are merely the product of our imagination. All sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and feelings are internal. It is impossible for us to step out of ourselves so ultimately our brain has to decipher a code sent from our senses. The result is a perception that is no more real than a dream. All matter is composed of atoms which are ultimately energy. Therefore everything is connected by the same energy,and in a sense, we are all one. Since energy can never be destroyed... death is not real. Our consciousness is simply a self-awareness and life as we know it is just an illusion. Our brain is very good at creating illusion. When we are asleep we call it dreaming.

I get what you are saying but you have to understand that the mind is not just energy, it is information. Unfortunately, information CAN be destroyed.
Just because energy is always conserved / transformed it doesn't logically follow that the human personality survives death.

Death is very real. When that abundance of cells stops being a consciousness that seems like a fairly big change to me. Life isn't an illusion. Nothing is an illusion. It's all entirely real but that doesn't detract from the utter futility of everything.
